Our Mission

The Palm Beach Pack & Paddle Club exists to foster a vibrant community built around outdoor adventure, environmental stewardship, and meaningful connection. We provide camping, canoeing, kayaking, paddling, hiking, bicycling, snorkeling, and other recreational experiences that bring members and guests together in shared exploration. Through these activities, we introduce new participants to the natural world and cultivate lasting social bonds grounded in respect, camaraderie, and responsible recreation.

We are equally committed to charitable and educational initiatives that advance the conservation and protection of the natural environment. Through the establishment of a Conservation Fund, financial support of local qualifying organizations, hands-on participation in cleanups and habitat projects, maintenance of nature trails and non-motorized waterways, and ongoing educational programming, we actively promote environmental awareness and preservation. By partnering with like-minded organizations and engaging in public outreach, we strengthen our collective impact and ensure that the landscapes and waterways we cherish are protected for future generations.

Our History

Palm Beach Pack & Paddle Club was founded by outdoor enthusiasts who shared a simple vision: to bring people together through safe, responsible adventure in South Florida’s natural landscapes. What began as a small group of paddlers and campers has grown into a longstanding community dedicated to recreation, education, and conservation.

Over the years, the Club has expanded its activities to include kayaking, canoeing, hiking, bicycling, snorkeling, camping, and environmental stewardship projects. Generations of members have contributed to its growth—organizing trips, leading educational programs, supporting local conservation efforts, and building a culture rooted in camaraderie and respect for the outdoors.

Today, Palm Beach Pack & Paddle Club continues to honor its founding principles while evolving to meet the interests of new members, preserving the spirit of adventure and environmental responsibility that has defined the Club from the beginning.

She has served the club in several leadership roles, including President during the challenges of the COVID years. She hopes to see the club continue to grow with younger members and families joining future adventures. She adv ises new members not to be afraid to try camping or paddling because the club community is always willing to help, lend gear, and share knowledge. According to Nancy, the only requirement is a willingness to get outside, make friends, and enjoy the adventure.
